Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu launched the partnership with renowned brand TWG Tea at a Tea Tasting event at the hotel’s Table of Curiousity, The Hub. I was so excited to know that TWG finally making its way to Kota Kinabalu even though it’s under Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu and not its own TWG Tea Salon & Boutique.
We enjoyed freshly-brewed French Earl Grey, a fragrant variation of the classic – delicately infused with citrus and deep blue cornflowers and Silver Moon Tea, a blend of green teas with a hint of grand berry and vanilla bouquet. Dimitri, The Tea Trainer also shared Lemon Bush Tea, a Red Tea from South Africa blended with wild citrus fruits and the Imperial Pu-Erh, with a light and delicate aroma, that yields, once infused, a very strong, rich and earthy flavour.
Pastry Chef Sri Ganes and his team presented perfect tea infused pastries to accompany the teas being showcased. Starting from French Earl Grey Macaron to Silver Moon Tea Caviar, Lemon Bush Financier and lastly the Imperial Purh-eh Dark Ganache.
Tea time with TWG tea. Perfect!
Dimitri, who was specially flown in for the event from the brand’s Malaysian headquarters in Kuala Lumpur. Thanks for the information about TWG tea. I really learn how to appreciate good tea
