Hyatt Regency Kinabalu hosted its Annual Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony in the hotel lounge on 1 December 2017 to usher in the festive and joyful holiday season. Hyatt Regency Kinabalu unveiled its eco-friendly Christmas 2017 theme during the Christmas lighting ceremony last night with a 13-foot Christmas tree made from collections of wooden pallets. Restaurant diners, in-house guests and media friends were in attendance to witness the joyous lighting ceremony. A warm cranberry cinnamon scent greeted the guests upon entering the hotel, carrying them away into the joyous Christmas spirit.

In their continuous effort to conserve the environment, recycled materials such as bottles, driftwood and wooden pallets were used as the main materials for Christmas decorations this year. It was an environment-friendly initiative of the hotel towards nature conservation.
