Kuala Lumpur often known as KL is the largest city in Malaysia. KL offers a vast selection of delicious and exotic food that suit every palate. The problem is KL is not exactly easy to get around as public transportation is not readily available. Thanks to Uber, it is possible to get around KL and Klang Valley without dealing with the infamous Taxi driver.
For my travel to KL, Traders Hotel KL is the first choice in my list as it is located centrally at KL city with most of the rooms come with KLCC view. You can take the LRT below KLCC to the other part of the city.
I would recommend upgrade to Traders Club room as you will have access to the Traders Club lounge
Traders Club Lounge offers:
- Check-in and check-out on the club floor
- Free Wi-Fi Internet access
- Free breakfast, afternoon tea and evening cocktails at the Traders Club Lounge*
- Free beverages throughout the day at the Traders Club Lounge
- Fresh fruits available on a daily basis
- Download PressReader to access over 2,500 international newspapers and magazines for free
- Local newspapers available upon request
- Free suit pressing and shoeshine service
- Free 2-hour use of a meeting room
- Concierge service
View from my room, directly facing KLCC
One of the best place to hang out at KL. Skybar located at the 33rd floor of Traders Hotel KL

KL Hop-on-off stop is located at the other end of Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. The City Tour runs a continuously circle daily from 9.00am until 8.00pm at around 30 minutes intervals. For more information about KL hop-on-off, check out their website http://www.myhoponhopoff.com/

MyBurgerLab
Myburgerlab was started by 3 young men with a mission to serve juicy burger served with their signature charcoal bun. They become so famous that they now have 4 branches around Klang Valley.
The beef patties are juicy and they have some creative names for their burger.
Check out their location around Klang Valley at http://myburgerlab.com/location/

Mak’s Chee
Location: LG 311B, 1 Utama Shopping Centre
Business hours: 11am – 10pm daily
Mak Woon Chee is Guangzhou’s King of Wonton Noodle and his 100 years old authentic prawn wonton noodle recipe is world famous and a favorite among many famous personalities and celebrities. They open their first branch in Malaysia at 1 Utama shopping Mall and now you can taste their famous thin wonton noodle without travel to Hong Kong. I never tried Mak’s Chee in Hong Kong so I can’t make a comparison but Mak’s Chee noodle is thinner than the one in Malaysia, made by using duck egg and quality flour.

Hidden within Happy Mansion in Section 17, Frame Thai (formerly known as Lai Thai Market) has been serving very traditional Thai fares for a while now. Their menu is quite extensive and we particularly love their grilled pork skewer. The price is on the high side despite their not so great environment.
Ding Tai Fung 鼎泰豐
Famous Xiao long bao (soup dumplings) chain store from Taiwan with outlets all around the world, Ding Tai Fung need no further introduction. Whenever I visit KL, I will sure drop by one of their many outlets around Klang Valley. They have a branch at The Garden Mall@midvalley, Pavillion KL, Empire Shopping Mall @ Subang, 1 Utama and E curve.
