New Chef De Cuisine at Peppino Restaurant, Shangri-La’s Tanjung Ari Resort & Spa

Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa’s General Manager recently announced the appointment of Roberto Pinna as the resort’s new Chef de Cuisine for Peppino restaurant.

Roberto was born in Sardinia, Italy’s second largest island in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea where he lived until the age of 21. At the tender age of 14, Roberto was always seen in the kitchen of his uncle’s restaurant instead of playing video games as what most teenage boys would do. From there, he decided to become a chef himself.

An Italian national, Roberto brings with him over 13 years of extensive experience. He has worked in many international kitchens in Europe and this experience has allowed him to perfect his culinary skills.

His most recent posting was as Italian Chef in the Caribbean for Rosewood Hotels Group.

Roberto’s motto “We Are What We Eat” is reflected in his featured dishes. His passion in the culinary industry pushes him actively seeking new challenges while experimenting with cooking methods to achieve the highest quality of food taste and presentation.
