The B side Coffee shop is the latest addition to the booming coffee scene in Kota Kinabalu. The B Side is located at Lido Plaza, A newly developed 24 units of high-end commercial shop lots at Penampang. Once we step inside The B Side, great ambiance and relaxing music playing greet us. The design is simple and clean yet classy enough to present and get attention from outside.

The B Side is run by 3 owners, each from different backgrounds and we can see how each of their inputs put together at The B Side. We forgot to ask why The B Side name is chosen but we suspect it was inspired by Plan B restaurant chain. While the name may sound suspiciously like Plan B, The decoration and setup were certainly top notches with their own identity. The attention to details make The B Side eye pleasing and cure our sickness for KL Cafe hopping scene.

Other than Coffee, The B Side also serves different choices of Western food.

The cakes and chocolate truffles are highly recommendable.

The Mocha is my favourite

I find the coffee a bit mild and prefer the piccolo latte.

Grill chicken serve with smashed sweet potatoes. Well marinated and tender!

Overall, we can see the owners put a lot of efforts and ideas to make The B Side truly unique . Seems like it’s going to be a favorite spot to hang out and great coffee.
