The World’s Biggest Book Sale will be offering discounted books at 75% – 95% off recommended retail price.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale arrives in Sabah for the first time by the popular demand of Sabahan and Big Bad Wolf Books’ mission in spreading the joy of reading to more Malaysians. The much-anticipated Book Sale will be in town offering affordable books from 30th May to 9th June 2019 at Sabah Trade Centre, Kota Kinabalu. Running for 11 days straight, the Sale will be operating from 10.00am – midnight (12.00am) and entrance to the sale is FREE. So, tag along with your friends and family to hunt for your favorite books together.
Known as the World’s Biggest Book Sale, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale is much admired for its unbeatable discounts where book hunters can expect to enjoy 75% – 95% off recommended retail price on a large variety of books. Visitors can find books from a wide range of genres such as sci-fi, crime, thriller, business, art and design, cookbooks, architecture books and more. Parents would also be delighted to find a diverse range of children’s books such as board books, story books, activity books, and more.
“In line with our 10th Year Anniversary Celebration, we at Big Bad Wolf Books are aiming to visit at least 10 states in Malaysia; to ensure that affordable books reach more Malaysians. We are happy to visit Sabah for the first time and we’re happy to know that there are many customers who are continuously supporting us and who agree with our mission in creating a platform to inspire people to achieve their dreams and empower them with knowledge,” said Andrew Yap, Founder of the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale will also be bringing an interesting book called the Magic Book featuring Augmented Reality (AR) technology. Known as Asia’s biggest and exclusive seller of the AR books, these AR books feature 13 titles of children’s stories such as Little Red Riding Hood, Goldilocks, and the Three Bears, Cinderella and many more. Children will be able to read, play and learn with these AR books as it uses cutting-edge AR technology to revolutionize reading for young ones.
“We recognize that technology is something we cannot deny and children in this generation are well-adjusted to technology. Hence, the reason we are also bringing in the Augmented Reality (AR) books for children which is a combination of reading and it’s “come-to-life” feature which gives children a magical experience as they see their favorite characters talking and engaging with them,” added Yap.
There is a book for everyone at the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale and shoppers can also find education books from prominent publishers such as Grupbuku Karangkraf, PTS, Kualiti Books, Pernerbitan Pelangi and Sasbadi that will be on offer. There will also be a selection of contemporary Malaysian novels at the Sale by Buku Fixi, The Patriots, Iman Publication and more. During the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale, customers can also purchase badges, magnets, and other Big Bad Wolf Books merchandise.
In an aim to give back to the community and make reading accessible to all, the Big Bad Wolf Books’ Corporate Social Responsibility arm, Red Readerhood, is working with Yobel Activity House Sonway (YAHS). Yobel Activity House Sonway is an organization that is committed to providing a range of resources, programs, and sessions to help the children in need around Keningau for guidance and motivation to construct knowledge and character to help them achieve a better future. Big Bad Wolf Books is pledging 200 books to help make YAHS’ mobile library project a reality and the public can also play a part in changing the lives of children in need in Kampung Tiga, Keningau by donating books purchased at the Red Readerhood corner.
The Big Bad Wolf Book Sale aims to tour 10 states in Malaysia in conjunction with its 10th year Anniversary. The Sale has visited Pahang, Johor, Sarawak and will be going to Negeri Sembilan, Penang, Terengganu, and more in the coming months. For the past decade, the Big Bad Wolf Book Sale has also made its way overseas to countries such as Myanmar, Indonesia, Pakistan, Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka, UAE and Taiwan.
