Sandakan, located at the east coast of Sabah is the gateway for ecotourism destinations in Sabah. Sandakan is about 7 hours drive away from Kota Kinabalu and take only 45 minutes by flight. Sandakan is a good place to visit as it is easily accessible from Kota Kinabalu and the food is amazing.
If you flying to Sandakan from Kota Kinabalu, make sure you get a window seat on the left side of the plane as you can get the Mount Kinabalu view from plane!
We safely landed at Sandakan airport and greeted by staff from Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan. After 30 minutes, we reached Four Points by Sheraton Sandakan at the city centre of Sandakan.

Best things about visiting Sandakan is the seafood. The Eatery serve EAT ALL YOU CAN Shabu-Shabu. Featuring 3 different flavoured broths to excite your taste buds; from Miso Soup, Clear Chicken Broth to the famous Tom Yum Soup. Enjoy these scrumptious items such as Maki Rolls, Soba Noodles, Teriyaki Lamb Shoulder, Japanese Grilled Squid, Tempura plus other mouthwatering desserts! MYR 58++ per person (Weekend) or MYR 65++ for Two (Weekdays).
