Advertorial
After months of waiting for Caffebene to make it way to Kota Kinabalu, it finally did–just in time for the Christmas holidays! Caffè Bene is the largest coffeehouse in South Korea in the number of stores with more than 900 stores in Korea and fast expanding worldwide. Caffe bene opens their first store in East Malaysia at Imago Mall last month and offers wide selection of desserts to Kota Kinabalu citizens. Caffe bene brings a different concept from that of those other coffee spots, serving coffee, authentic Belgian waffles, Italian gelato, honey bread and bingsu. With such a big variety of menu items, families with young children and people of different age group will sure find something they like.
Every caffebene outlet comes with their signature clock. The store stayed true to Caffe Bene’s interior design concept, which consists of vintage wooden tables, chairs and wall panels. It was also decorated with bookshelves and boasts a spacious seating arrangement.

The beeper, pick up your order from the counter when the UFO plate light up and vibrate
Our bingsu selection of the day, (from left) cookies and cream bingsu (s), Strawberry bingsu (S) and coffee bingsu (s). Small size bingsu is good enough for two persons sharing, large bingsu can be shared by a larger group.
Our first bingsu, cookies and cream. Look nicer than the sample.
Strawberry bingsu, serve with strawberry gelato and generous serving of strawberries and red bean
Coffee bingsu, come with coffee gelato. Love the texture of from the nuts and ice
Tiramisu waffle
Green tea Affogato
Caramel Cinnamon bread. The toast + the whipped cream + caramel syrup + generous amount of cinnamon = My kind of treat. The cinnamon balanced the sweetness of the caramel and the whipped cream combined together.
Tiramisu waffle, crunchy and sweet Belgian waffle topped with tiramisu ice cream
Garlic & Cheese bread. The bread is soft and chewy and the garlic and cheese topping is fantastic
Discover the taste of Caffebene yourself, by dropping by Caffebene Imago Mall and discover the wide variety of coffee, bingsu, bread, waffle, and gelato. Next time, I plan to try their gelato–maybe with the waffle?–and the green tea tower Bingsu. I cannot wait!!! Here’s to more new coffeehouses in the Kota Kinabalu and beyond! 🙂
