Winecellars, the biggest wine importer in East Malaysia recently organized a wine dinner featuring Patrick Dowling, Penfolds ambassador at Peppino, Shangri-La’s Tanjung Aru Resort & Spa on 19th May 2016. The dinner is part of Winecellars 20th years anniversary celebration.

I got to check out the behind the scene, fun seeing the chefs preparing our meals
First wine of the day, Penfolds Koonunga Hill Autumn Riesling 2015. Floral at first then a profusion of lime and green apple.
Penfolds Bin 138 Shiraz Grenache Mataro 2013 pair with Anatra Caramellata, Grazed duck breast, carrots, confit shallots with spicy honey sauce. Medium deep color. Penfolds Bin 138 Shiraz Grenache Mataro 2013 is a seductive and voluminous wine with deep color, redcurrant, cranberry, musky plum, cola, aniseed aromas, fine loose knit chalky tannins and superb mid-palate richness.
Brasato Al Vino Rosso, Wine braised Black Angus short ribs with parsnip puree and baby beetroots pair with Penfolds St. Henri Shiraz 2011. The wine offers an impressive linear structure – tightly bound, with significant length. Boysenberry and cranberry red fruits are at ease with green olive and green melon. Granular tannins & other spices !!
