UberEats or Foodpanda(updated: foodpanda recently launched in Kota Kinabalu) not coming to Kota Kinabalu anytime soon but the good news is that major Fast food chain and restaurants in Kota Kinabalu are offering food delivery service to the city.
Listed below are restaurants or apps who offer delivery service to all area around Kota Kinabalu
8Pizza Hut
An order can be done through pizza hut website (www.pizzahut.com.my), call 1300 88 25 25 or through Pizza Hut Malaysia Apps.
There is no delivery charge and you can choose to pay online or Cash on Delivery.
7 Mcdonald
Provide delivery service to limited areas around Kota Kinabalu. An order can be made through their website (http://www.mcdelivery.com.my) or through McDelivery Malaysia apps. Delivery coverage is very limited for Kota Kinabalu surrounding area
No delivery service to our office despite its only 5 KM from Kota Kinabalu City center. McDonald charge RM4 for every delivery.
6KFC
Provide delivery service from 10 am to 10.30pm. An order can be made through their website (https://kfc.com.my/delivery), call 1300 222 888 and KFC Malaysia Delivery Apps. minimum order of RM 15 and RM 3.15 delivery surcharge apply for all orders.
Payment by credit card or debit card shall be made at the point of order. Cash payment shall be made at the point of arrival of food.
5Alu Alu Kitchen
Alu Alu Kitchen provides free delivery service to many areas around Kota Kinabalu. Delivery charges start from RM4.50 outside the coverage area and every purchase above RM100 will be entitled to free delivery.

While there are no UberEats and Deliveroo in Kota Kinabalu, MoreFun, a local apps company takes up the challenge and providing food delivery service for different restaurants to the different area around Kota Kinabalu from 10am to 10pm.
There is a minimum charge of RM5 per delivery per restaurant.

3Zelda Delivery
Zelda delivery is an online delivery website. Their partners are mostly locals and western restaurant. Orders can be made online at their website https://zeldadelivery.com。 Cash on delivery an offline credit card payment are accepted.
2Foodpanda
foodpanda, the on-demand international food delivery service starts their delivery service in Kota Kinabalu on October 2018. The delivery charge is RM 3 per order. minimum order is RM15. The order can be made at their website https://www.foodpanda.my/ or download their foodpanda apps on appstore. Cash or delivery, credit card and online banking are accepted.
1GrabFood
GrabFood, Southeast Asia fastest growing food delivery service finally arrive in Kota Kinabalu in April 2019. There are limited number of vendor and delivery area for the time being. The Delivery charge for GrabbFood in Kota Kinabalu is RM5 per order.
