Kota Kinabalu, 2 February 2015 – Lunar New Year celebrations at Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu sets off to a prosperous beginning with the majestic launching at the hotel lobby with 50 of our loyal SPG members and invited guest. Leading the hotel welcome for the Year of the Sheep is General Manager, Fiona Hagan.
The event started off with a grand tossing of Yee Sang with our General Manager, Fiona Hagan, Datuk Ng Lai Su, Mrs Gillian Lee, our financial controller, Cheah Yet Joon and most of our head of department in the hotel. During the Yee Sang ritual Selva Raja, our Director of Food & Beverage wishes everyone with beautiful rewards the whole year round (年年丰收), everything runs smoothly (事事顺利), achieves goal easily (万事如意), prosperous business (生意兴荣), increasing wealth (蒸蒸日上), improvement (步步高升), good luck (如意吉祥), and may everyone wish come true (洋洋得意).
Guest were treated with Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu Chinese New Year Lunar Éclair – Bamboo, Tangerine, Lotus and Sparkling – Jade. Also, a few of our Chinese Chef Lum Kai Mun special dishes such as salted egg prawn, coconut prawn, braised lamb with Mongolian and seafood ball with cheese.
Cheh Lum Kai Mun has been working in Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu for 6 years and his fabulous Chinese cuisine has illuminated lots of banquet function. From 2 – 6 February, discover Chef Lum’s Chinese cuisine prepared exclusively for you and your family at Circle from 6:30pm – 10:00pm.
This year Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu offer complimentary Yee Sang at our Dinner buffet during the Lunar New Year Eve at RM118 per person and during the 1st and 2nd day of Lunar New Year’s Hi Tea Buffet at RM88 per person and also Dinner Buffet at RM118 per person.
