If you’re looking for a place for halal seafood at reasonable prices ,head to KK Night market. The night market is located between Kota Kinabalu Central Market and Segama Waterfront. The stalls start setting up at 5pm and by 6 pm you can see many stalls with a large variety of Seafoods on display and each stalls. Don’t be surprise to find a big lobster here! A big prawn cost from Rm8 to Rm 20 each and a lobster can cost more than RM100. The seafood is fresh as the fish landing port is located just behind Central market and the hawker have easy supply of seafood.
Choose from a wide selection of seafoods – squid, fish, crabs, prawns, stingray, lobsters, etc. They will then cook it for you – grilled or steamed, in lime or sambal (chili) sauce. They also offer chinese style cooking for the seafood here.
Do compare the prices among the stall here as the price are seasonal. After a seafood feast here, walk over to the other side of the market where the Sinsuran night market selling local foods and vegetables and experience the night market atmosphere in Sabah
