Inanam is a town and sub-district of Kota Kinabalu in Sabah, Malaysia. It is situated 10km from Kota Kinabalu city center. There are many good eats around Inanam new and old township.
Stay: Tourist tend to avoid Inanam town as Inanam is out of Kota Kinabalu City and the town center becomes quite after the night.

Chee Cheung Fun stall at Kedai Kopi Ming Hiong Inanam
An aunty selling Chee Cheung Fun at an unnamed food stall at Kedai Kopi Ming Hiong for as long as I can remember. The secret behind the perfect Chee Cheong Fun is the homemade recipe of the sauce, topped with sesame seeds sprinkled over the chee cheong fun, which leave you wanting more. Don’t miss out on the braised chicken leg, Sotong Kankung (blanched cuttlefish and cooked spinach) drenched in a black sauce with a speinkledhint of sugar, prawn psprinkledwith ground peanuts.

Gold Leaf Cafe
This coffee shop open 24 hours. During the morning, you can get freshly fried Chinese cruller, chinese oil stick, chinese doughnut and kuih from the stall operate in front of the shop.
At the night time, visit Gold Leaf Cafe for the pork-free dumpling.
Kedai Kopi Jeong Hin
This old kopitiam at Inanam famous for its buns. The delicious buns are fresh-made dailythe old fashioned way. Enjoy your bun with tea/coffee from the beverage menu. They also serve classix Kopi Botol, which is a Kopi-O(Black coffee with sugar) in a beer borrle. It’s a “must try” drink when in Inanam. Jeong Hin also serve Kolo Mee in the morning. The Kolo Mee and soya sauce gravy were seasoned and mixed perfectly, with wanton soup on the side., siew yoke (roasted pork) with luscioss interior and perfectly crisp crackiling Char Sau (BBQ Pork)
Taufik Restaurant
One of the restaurant supply Malay’s foods in Inanam area and they are best known for their soto, bakso and rojak. The only way to describe the rojak here is a big pass of thick delicious goop.
1st floor of Pasar Inanam (Inanam Wet Market)
Cheap and tasty Tuaran Noodle on the 1st floor of Inanam Wet Market. There are around 6 stalls here selling kon Lau Mee, pork noodle and tuaran mee. The food here is much cheaper than anywhere else in Kota Kinabalu. A good place to experience local breakfast.
Wee Kee Inanam
Wee Kee Inanam serve Cantonese roast. The must try item at Wee Kee is the “glass” BBQ pork 玻璃叉烧。The pork belly bbq pork’s skin is caramelised and char grilled to perfection. The fats and meats of the pork belly melts in your mouth. heavenly. The Glass BBQ pork sold out before lunch time so be early if you want to try this mouth watering pork dish.

A new entry to Inanam food scene. Wo Yen Kee serve good roasted pork and they serve it with Nasi Lemak. They also serve roasted chicken, duck and bbq pork. If you want to enjoy the roasted pork, be early as it sold out fast (before 11am)

Tuaran Mee Restaurant
Tuaran Mee Restaurant serve Tuaran Noodles in various form. Tuaran Mee is usually fried and serve with Chun Kien slice (Sabah Hakka Spring roll), Char siu and Vegetable and you don’t need to travel all the way to Tuaran Town to try Tuaran noodle since Tuaran Mee Restaurant is originated from Tuaran. They also serve Tuaran mee in lihing (Sabah Rice Wine)
Taliban Food Center
Taliban Food Center has 2 branch at Inanam, one at the Tuaran town center and the original shop near Inanam Bus Terminal. Taliban serves Roti naan, mee goreng, roti canai, teh tarik and chicken tandoori. Their naan is popular with the locals.

Yii Siang Ngiu Chap
Yii Siang Hainan Ngiu Chap serve delicious Beef noodle since 1993. The owner, Mr Ling started the beef noodle from a stall at Kedai Kopi Yii Siang and people remember them as Fei Lou Ngiu Chap (fat man beef noodle) and their generous serving of beef and ngiu chap (beef mix). Yii Siang also famous for the Laksa Ngiu Chap (beef noodle served in laksa broth)
