Beer nest Mixo is the latest addition to the nightlife scene in Kota Kinabalu. What make Beer Nest Mixo stand out from the rest is Beer Nest Mixo is the first and only Mixology bar in. Their mixologist is Jerald Tsen, Malaysia Mixology Champion
Jerald Tsen has come a long way since he started bartending in 2006. His first standout moment came in 2009 when, after tirelessly putting in hard work and self-learning, he was hired by Rootz as a Mixologist. Since then, Jerald Tsen has won numerous awards for his talents. In 2010, he took gold in the 2010 Twister Mocktail competition. It was then that he caught the eye of YTL group and led to Jerald’s rise to become a bar and lounge manager at Shook! in Starhill Gallery. Other accolades he has won include the Gold in the World Class Cocktail competition and Gold in the Horeca Mixologist competition. He held the Most Stylistic Bartender Malaysia and Singapore title from 2011-2013.
Beernest Mixo is an old school concept bar located at waterfront city that consists of unique designs which make it an outstanding, chill bar. They offer not only a magnificent sunset view but also a wide variety of beer & cocktails with an excellent bartender. They are the only bar in Kota Kinabalu to serve the most variety of fresh draught beers (Carlsberg, Hoegaarden, Kronenbourg 1664, Asahi) They also the only place to serve Beer Nest stout from Belgium which Beer Nest Mixo named after.
