Kota Kinabalu, 19 June 2015 ~ Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu continues to lead the city’s quest for inspired dining with this year’s “Bazaar Ramadhan”-themed Iftar buffet. This is the 7th year since the hotel introduced the innovative Ramadhan buffet to delighted diners.
Listing more than 300 items on its abundant spread, the hotel’s “Bazaar Ramadhan” theme dinner buffet effectively recreates both choices and ambience with its cacophony of stalls, variety of dishes and specialties, and background of marketplace sounds. This year’s Iftar Ramadhan buffet highlight a new “Kawah-style” nasi padang station, oversized satays, the many specialties of North Indian, Indonesian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mongolian, Middle Eastern, Japanese and Western cuisines, complemented by Malay, Chinese, Nyonya and Le Meridien Kota Kinabalu’s signature “Tampatan” specialties featuring the freshest ingredients.
Among the many items are whole roast lamb, seafood barbecue, lok-lok, Bubur Lambuk and Bubur Nyonya stations. Diners can also indulge their sweet tooth with a fabulous spread of desserts from various Malay kueh, ais kacang, white and milk chocolate fountains, fresh fruits, ice creams + sweet condiments, cakes, jellies, puddings, a variety of dates, and local and western cookies.
The “Tampatan” corner, a firm favourite with the crowd, makes a renewed comeback with ‘live’ sago-making and specialties such as fish hinava, preserved bambangan, pickled tuhau, bambangan chicken, pinasakan fish and more.
The buffet is priced at RM145nett per person and children (7 – 12 years old) at RM72.50, and the hotel is selling Early Bird vouchers at RM109nett per person.
