Yit Foh coffee is one of the most famous product from Sabah. It has been in business for more than 50 years old. Yit Foh coffee is the only factory still insist on using the traditional roasting coffee bean by firewood. The process is labor intensive and takes 2 hours just to roast the coffee beans to perfection. We are lucky to be able to enjoy a perfect cup of Tenom Coffee by easily make a purchase at major supermarket and shops around Sabah. Yit Foh coffee also one of the top choice souvenirs for visitors to Sabah.

Yit Foh Coffee was founded in 1960. It is the oldest coffee factory in Sabah. They use pure Robusta coffee beans planted in Tenom. The coffee beans are roasted with wood fire which brings out the full aroma of the Robusta beans. Yit Foh is the only coffee factory in Sabah roasting coffee beans using wood fire. So far, they have resisted using the machine for roasting process. Only the packaging process is being modernized. The process of roasting and picking beans is still very much the same method used 50 years ago. Alex, The 2nd generation owner of Yit Foh Coffee stressed that Yit Foh insisted of fully controlling the quality of their coffee. He believes the best marketing is by producing the best coffee that the locals love. By the same belief, the Yit Foh coffee brand has been expanding to the whole of Malaysia as people love the unique taste of the Yit Foh roasted coffee.

Yit Foh Coffee factory is located about 5 minutes drive away Tenom. Pass by Tenom town if you coming from Kota Kinabalu/Keningau and once you pass the steel bridge, drive for about 3 minutes and Yit Foh Coffee factory is on your right.
Tenom Coffee Park
