Naan – Flavours of India is an Indian Restaurant located in the Garden Wing of Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa. Many people in Kota Kinabalu didn’t know that there is an Indian Restaurant at Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & spa but you should consider a trip to Naan if you looking for good authentic Northern Indian Cuisine.
Naan – Flavours of India is the first Indian Restaurant under Shangri-La’s Brand name. We dine-in before at Naan during our 3D2N stay 2 years ago at Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort & Spa and we love their foods but they didn’t offer ala-carte menu. We are pleased to know that they offer ala-carte menu now if you decide not to go for their set.

The atmosphere inside Naan is relaxed and welcoming.
Ala Carte menu at Naan – Flavour of India
Murg shehjani & Lamb Sheekh Kebab
I ordered Masala Tea to go with my dinner. I must say their Masala Tea is one of the best I had.
Saag Paneer (Homemade Cottage Cheese with creamy spinach gravy) for the vegetarian
Cumin Rice
Dal Makhani (Black lentil & Kidney Beans with Tomato, Onion, butter and cream)
Butter Naan.
Our favorite, Rogan Josh Lamb
Butter chicken ( chicken thigh boneless cooked in tandoor finished in rich tomato gravy spiced with dry fenugreek leaves, cumin and Garam masala)
Love the color and the taste of the foods.
After meal dessert, Gajar Ka Halwa (Carrot pudding with milk, cashew nuts and raisins)
The Chef De Cuisine of Naan Restaurant is Chef Shantanu Seth. He started honing his expertise in Indian Cuisine in 1999 in well-known hotels and restaurants and abroad in Indian before finally joining Shangri-La’s Rasa Ria Resort in 2012. Taking inspiration from his mother’s cooking, Chef Shantanu describes his love for Indian culinary, in his own words as “cooking is a passion and we do it with a heart for the best result, otherwise, no spices in the world can enhance its tastes”.
We had a memorable dinner at Naan and will certainly be back again. All the foods were well spiced, presented and fresh. Service is great as expected from Shangri-La’s hotel.
